CARMINAT TOMTOM® NAVIGATION AND COMMERCIAL VEHICLES
In 2010 Renault brought new levels of functionality with built-in navigation systems costing around £450 and available across its entire model line-up, including commercial vehicles. These systems can contribute to minimising fuel consumption, and therefore CO2 emissions. Thanks to IQ RoutesTM technology, which is based on the real-world driving experience of millions of other road users, drivers are guided to their destination by the most efficient route. The Renault Carminat TomTom® system computes routes based on actual traffic patterns, taking the time of day and diversions notified by other drivers into account. Now incorporating the Advanced Lane Guidance function, the display indicates the correct lane and offers an accurate, realistic panoramic birds-eye view of junctions and road signs.
Following the recent launches of several car versions including TomTom as standard, the entire range will benefit from these innovations in 2010.
