Dat lijkt mij inderdaad een kwestie van de boot gemist hebben, ivet.
Trouwens: die hele heisa rondom goud en zilver hebben we toch al veel vaker gezien bij aandelen: gewoon even wat opties waardeloos laten aflopen, en daar gáán we weer: omhoog, dan wel omlaag...
Eén zekerheid is er toch wel: goud/zilver gaan never naar 0,0.
Het instapmoment is voor ons, particuliertjes, nooit het goede: altijd te vroeg, te laat - evenals het ultieme uitstapmoment.
Maar goed: de boterham met tevredenheid etend, blijft er ruim voldoende aan de strijkstok hangen -:)

Geen zilver te koop in de VS. Hooguit bij dealers die de gok willen wagen of veel premium rekenen.

Ik heb nog even een extra order geplaatst, wat rollen semi-numi munten tegen scherpe prijs. Geen idee of het VS fenomeen van gesloten deuren hier navolging gaat krijgen. Europeanen zijn niet zo snel van begrip vaak.

Na de nep-schooting bij Sandy Hook deed een policus op een wat vroeg moment uitspraak over aanscherpen van wapenwetten. De yanks renden meteen naar de gun shops en kochten die leeg. Prijzen vlogen omhoog.
Vandaag een bom in Boston. Iedereen roept nu nog overtuigder dat het een false flag was. Zo'n toeval, weer tegelijk met een oefening (911) en ook vandaag weer een metals sell-off. Amerikanen komen zich suf, en de Duitse markt puft en steunt ook al. De Duitse dealer die ik aan de lijn had beloofde me te mailen zodra hij even lucht had, maar heeft dat nooit gedaan natuurlijk.

Monteray Mining starts gold drilling in Burkina Faso

Monteray Mining has kicked off 9000 meters of reverse circulation and aircore drilling at its Pepin North gold prospect in Burkina Faso to test multiple targets over three project areas.

This follows the receipt of all rock chip results from its recent detailed mapping program of both Pepin North and Pepin South. Notable assays include 4.36 grams per tonne gold, 3.51 grams per tonne gold, 3.4 grams per tonne gold and 2.42 grams per tonne gold.

Monteray has also received results from the recent auger drill program at Pepin North which confirmed cohesive anomalism over multiple areas that correlate with artisanal workings, the extensions of the highly productive Sebace Shear Zone as well as the high grade rock chip samples now reported.

Detailed mapping of the Pepin North auger grid has confirmed the presence of abundant in situ gold workings and mineralized quartz veins at contact between metasediment and magnetic basalt. The geology of the targets and the litho-structural settings of the hard rock workings is similar to typical orogenic vein type deposits in Burkina Faso.

Seven areas have been highlighted for further investigation by air core drilling. An area in the west of the drilled area shows a cohesive anomaly of 1.3 square kilometers located around artisanal workings while the area in the center has artisanal workings developed over a length of 1.5 kilometers.

A result of 174 ppb gold was returned from a hole to the south of these workings as the ground surface was too disturbed to allow the passage of the auger rig.

Catalyst Metals to start drilling at Four Eagles gold project

Catalyst Metals is set to resume aircore drilling next week at its Four Eagles gold project in Victoria. The drilling will focus on a 3 kilometer long section of Eagle 3 trend where basement depth is 20 meters to 50 meters.

Previous shallow intersections in the 1-3 grams per tonne gold range highlight the potential for open pit mineralization. High grade gold mineralization was discovered with shallow drilling in the last two years with grades including 0.4 meters at 152 gram per tonne; 6 meters at 82.7 gram per tonne and 3 meters at 20.5 gram per tonne among others.

The company's position in the project is strengthened with it on the cusp on earning 50% equity via a joint venture agreement with Providence Gold and Minerals by spending USD 2.1 million on exploration. As at end of March, expenditure had totaled USD 2.058 million.

Post the formation of a formal JV, Catalyst will have the right to earn towards 75% equity by spending a further USD 2.1 million on exploration, subject to a right by Providence to contribute at the 60:40 equity level.

The Four Eagles gold project made significant strides last year and is now confirmed as a virgin gold discovery in an area never previously mined. The company has a longer term objective of discovering over 1 million ounce resource and this is supported by the large area at Four Eagles containing high grade gold values and close proximity to the regional Whitelaw Fault that appears to control gold minerlization at Bendigo, where 22 million ounces of gold has been produced.

The infill drilling at Hayanmi and Boyd's Dam prospects has also produced enhanced gold grades at lengths of at least 600 meters also underscores the project's potential. The initial aircore drilling program will be undertaken on the northern end of the Eagle 3 trend and will be conducted on a 200 meter line spacing with angled holes drilled on each line about 40 meters apart.

Quintessential Resources starts drilling for copper and silver at PNG project

Quintessential Resources has started a diamond drilling program targeting copper, silver, gold and molybdenum mineralization at the Northern Skarn at the Irak prospect in Papua New Guinea.

The drill holes are likely to test the width and subsurface grade of the copper and silver rich Northern Skarn occurrence. The peak outcrop sampled in January 2013 assayed 12 meters of 2.75% copper; 112 grams per tonne silver; 0.11 gram per tonne gold and 92 parts per million molybdenum across its width.

The Northern skarn is located approximately 200 meters north of the Southern Skarn which when drill tested in January returned a peak drill intercept of 0.65 meter grading 2.43% copper; 28.2 gram per tonne silver; 0.33 gram per tonne gold and 322 ppm molybdenum within 8.3 meters of 0.34% copper; 7.6 gram per tonne silver; 0.17 gram per tonne gold and 66ppm molybdenum.

The Northern Skarn outcrop has been traced locally for approximately 500 meters total. Additional trench samples from the extension of the Northern skarn were flown out during the rig mobilization and are under analysis. The company had a cash balance of USD 1.33 million at the end of December quarter.

KalNorth Gold Mines identifies southern extension to Tregurtha gold deposit

KalNorth Gold Mines has identified a significant southerly extension of mineralization at the Tregurtha orebody at its Mt Jewell gold field in Western Australia.

The intercepts from rotary air blast drilling which lie 300 meters along strike, suggest that the Tregurtha deposit is substantially larger than previously thought. Notable results include 4 meters at 1.46 grams per tonne gold from 36 meters, 12 meters at 3.84 gram per tonne gold from 32 meters and 24 meters at 1 gram per tonne gold from 28 meters with a deeper intercept of 4 meters at 2.94 gram per tonne gold from 56 meters.

Further drilling will be undertaken to better define the southern extension. A reverse circulation program, planned to explore the proximal extensions of the mineralized zones, is being modified to incorporate a series of deeper holes beneath the newly identified target.

Further investigation of the new extension is a top exploration/development priority as the drilling confirmed the expectation that higher grade mineralized zones will be discovered in the fresh rock below. Mineralization at Mt Jewell remains open with scope for further discoveries.

Pre Feasibility work is underway to determine the economics of constructing and housing a processing plant at Mt Jewell. The company had recently booked an initial Reserve of 2.74 million tonnes at 1.36 gram per tonne gold for 119,800 ounces of contained gold for the Mt Jewell field. This takes the total Probable Reserve across the KalNorth Field to 5.06 million tonnes at 1.7 gram per tonne for 272,770 ounces of contained gold.
