At today’s Annual General Meeting of Sopheon plc, the international provider of software and services that help organizations generate more revenues and profits from new products, the Board will give shareholders an update and review of the business. This will include the following statement from the Chairman:

“My last annual statement to shareholders highlighted the ongoing transition in Sopheon’s business model, and its impact on our performance. It is very gratifying, one year later, to be able to report solid strategic progress and results for 2015 and into the early months of 2016. Revenues grew from just over $18m in 2014 to almost $21m last year. This double-digit growth was achieved in spite of headwind in the form of a strengthening dollar. The improvement in profitability was even more marked, with EBITDA more than tripling to $4.1m, and profit before tax at $1.2m.

Two years ago we embarked on a strategic growth transition to migrate from delivering process automation tools to delivering enterprise class innovation management solutions. We made substantial progress in 2014, but not without some disruption to business momentum, which continued into the first half of 2015. In spite of these short-term financial consequences, we remained confident in our path during the transition and continued to lead the market in vision, experience and capability that today in our opinion remain unmatched by competitors. Our dual market segmentation focus on both the complex global enterprise and the simpler, “out-of-the-box” Express model for quick time to value, is gaining traction. This view was validated by the naming of Sopheon in Gartner’s 2015 Market Guide for Enterprise PPM Software, and recent Enterprise Innovation Management research conducted by CIMdata.

Our 2015 performance was broad based. We signed 14 new customers and closed another 28 transactions with existing customers. New wins included expansion of our Asian presence with a major Chinese chemical business sold through our important partner relationship in that territory, and several Express offerings that are now fully deployed. In addition, we signed a number of major enterprise contracts, including a software-as-a-service (SaaS) deal with a Fortune 100 consumer products corporation with substantial recurring revenue potential. Our largest customer accounted for 11 percent of revenue, and no other customer was above 6 percent.

As in previous years, we have maintained the pace of new product releases consistent with our Agile methodology, releasing Accolade® 9.3 in February 2015, 10.0 in June, 10.1 in September, 10.2 in January and most recently Accolade 10.3 just a few weeks ago. We have been taking action to enable world-class adoption of our solutions for some time and we are now seeing the benefits in our performance metrics in both of the market segments mentioned above. All of our product releases include new and enhanced functionality driven by, or anticipating, customer needs and our sales and services organizations have been restructured to be customer value centric. We saw third-party validation of this effort in the recent Sopheon recognition as Customer Service Leader in the new product development and introduction solutions category as voted by the executive readership of Consumer Goods Technology (CGT) magazine; selection by the same readership for the sixth consecutive year as a best-in-class new product development solution; and the Gartner and CIMdata reports mentioned above.

The board remains confident that Sopheon is on the right path, with strong momentum and pipeline for further advancement in 2016. Full year revenue visibility for 2016 from contracted business and recurring revenue streams is now approaching $17m, compared to $12.5m at this time last year. We continue to expand resources in line with the growth areas of the business to support this strong momentum, and maintain our leading market position. Our success is in no small part due to the commitment and diligence of our people, and I take this opportunity to thank all in Sopheon who made it possible.”

Hoi Sproet,

Hartstikke mooi, goede cijfers, nu al bijna 4.5 miljoen meer dan vorig jaar.
Vandaag de koers weer over de pond denk ik, en verder naar ik mag aannemen. Want dat de markt dit succes gaat oppakken wordt nu toch wel een aan zekerheid grenzende waarschijnlijkheid. Ofwel: het gaat echt gebeuren.

SOPHEON CONFIDENT ON 2016 AS REVENUE EXPECTATIONS RISE

LONDON (Alliance News) - Software provider Sopheon PLC said it is confident it is "on the right path" for 2016, ahead of its annual general meeting on Thursday.

Sopheon said revenue visibility for 2016 is now approaching USD17 million, compared to USD12.5 million at this time last year.

At the time of its 2015 results in March, Sopheon said it had started 2016 with a revenue pipeline of USD12 million, compared with USD10.2 million the previous year.

"The board remains confident that Sopheon is on the right path, with strong momentum and pipeline for further advancement in 2016," Chairman Barry Mence said in a statement.

"We continue to expand resources in line with the growth areas of the business to support this strong momentum, and maintain our leading market position," he added.

Shares in Sopheon were trading up 9% at 96.50 pence on Thursday morning.

Ze staan al boven de pond, met hoog volume.
Dat betekent dat het nog wel een paar dagen zo door gaat, ben ik bang (;-))
Waar dat zal eindigen weet ik niet, maar kan niet anders dan flink omhoog.

Super zeg. Weet iemand wanneer we voor 't laatst zo'n volume hebben gezien? (vergelijkbaar met pre-rs bijna 10M)

Vraag me wel altijd af wie zijn stukken op een dag als vandaag nog te koop zet tegen deze koersen. Je zou bijna denken dat er opzettelijk een rem op wordt gezet.

Maar enfin. Omzet Sopheon nu al 4.5M hoger en we zijn pas op de helft van het jaar. 36% hoger dan vorig jaar om deze tijd. Het kan toch eigenlijk niet anders of de winst gaat ook fors hoger uitvallen.

Leuke verrassing vandaag zeg. Fikse groei tov vorig jaar. Die cijfers willen we toch zien? Als ze dit 3 a 4 jaar volhouden bulken ze van de cash.

Misschien dat de toon nu eens is gezet, voor de versnelling.

Tussen de regels door, laat men merken positieve verwachtingen te hebben.

Het 1e half jaar zal in ieder geval positief gaan zijn.

En dan natuurlijk de opgaande trend ( liefst met dezelfde hogere percentages ) vast houden.

Eerder hebben brokers al aangegeven een koers van 1.50 GBP.

Ja Frank, gelukkig wel, heb ik een keer gelijk.
Dat wordt wel eens tijd, medunkt.

Heeft slechts 15 jaar geduurd.
En dan is het nog maar een paar miljoen meer, het is wel substantieel meer, maar nog geen halleluja.
Tenslotte gaan ze ook steeds meer mensen aannemen, wat de boel wel enigszins kan gaan versnellen.

Voorlopig gaat de koers up, ondanks het feit dat er toch voldoende verekopers zijn, die, in tegenstelling tot ons, niet echt veel geduld hebben.

Aan de andere kant, 25 % is wel een flinke winst in 1 dag.

Dus daar kan ik wel begrip voor hebben.

Overigens heb ik mijn aandelen vorige week nog met 25% uitgebreid en kom nu boven de 1% van de momenteel uitstaande aandelen uit.
Ik had er dermate veel vertrouwen in dat het me een goed instapmoment leek, en dat is tot nu toe wel gebleken.
Mijn verwachting is dat morgen de koers nog veel verder zak stijgen omdat het nieuws niet altijd bij iedereen directe doorkomt en pas de volgende dag de aankopen kunnen worden gedaan.
Verder heeft uiteraard de koersstijging weer een aantrekkingskracht voor nieuwe beleggers.....

We gaan het weer meemaken.
Maar ik ben wel al voorzichtig aan content aan het worden over de gemaakte keuze en het blijvend ondersteunen van de ingeslagen weg.
Mijn gevoel bij de AVA van vorig jaar wasgoed, en dat is blijkbaar toch bewaarheid geworden met een keurige groei.

Ik ben content en in mijn nopjes met de stijging van vandaag.

Er zit nog veel meer in het vat..

hoi limomilo,
ik begrijp je volkomen, het heeft zeker voor heel veel beleggers te lang geduurt.
ik hoop ook echt dat iedereen op zn minst zn inleg terug krijgt, als het nu niet meer goed komt, dan komt het nooit meer goed.
er komt echt nog wel een dip tussen door.
maar ik ben nu wel positief,dat soof nu echt gaat doordrukken.

DIRECTOR DEALINGS: SOPHEON DIRECTORS BUY 52,000 SHARES

LONDON (Alliance News) - Sopheon PLC said three of its directors bought shares on Friday as the enterprise software company said it is on the right track for 2016.

Chairman Barry Mence bought 30,000 shares, taking his shareholding to 1.4 million shares.

Non-Executive Director Stuart Silcock bought 12,000 shares. He now holds 266,627 shares.

Chief Financial Officer Arif Karimjee purchased 10,000 shares and now holds 40,000 shares.

Sopheon said on Thursday revenue visibility for 2016 is now approaching USD17 million, compared to USD12.5 million at this time last year.

At the time of its 2015 results in March, Sopheon said it had started 2016 with a revenue pipeline of USD12 million, compared with USD10.2 million the previous year.

Sopheon added it is confident it is "on the right path" for 2016.

The stock was up 12% at 125.00p Friday.

FinnCap Reaffirms Corporate Rating for Sopheon Plc (SPE)

Neemt er nog iemand maatregelen m.b.t de pond? I.v.m. mogelijk Brexit?
Zit te denken over een kleine short positie in de GBP. Als verzekering op de aandelen. Zou zonde zijn om de stijging nu weer kwijt te raken aan een daling van de pond.
