Concerning EUA approval for the Bcart Covid test, let's indeed hope the good news lands earlier than I currently expect.
Concerning Genedrive, it is definitely worth taking a look. It could be the next Novacyt. Their Covid test received CE marking at the end of May, but it is waiting for FDA approval (EUA already taking more than 5 months) and approval by the authorities of India, which in my opinion could be their main market. They entered into an agreement with Beckman Coulter (Danaher) for offering their test through the BC Biomec I7 which would allow for very large amounts of people to be tested at the same time (ideal for the Indian market). Genedrive's Covid test has properties that makes it extremely suitable for the BC machine, hence the hook-up. Furthermore they expect to bring their new Saliva 15 minute POC test to market in Q1 2021. Genedrive has a market cap of barely 61M pounds, less than a tenth of the Novacyt market cap. Novacyt was a first mover, hence they could secure a large UK gov contract at a time when there was little competition, Genedrive came with it's tests a couple of months later, and I think that is why they haven't been able to secure a large government contract yet. But now Genedrive is also bidding (through their distributor Sysmex) for the new 22 Billion UK tender. Imagine what a small slice of that pie (for example just 1% or 220 Million) could do to their market cap. An investment in GDR is risky, there is significant downside risk, and there are doubts as to why they haven't landed a big contract yet, but then again the rewards could be huge if and when they do. Also beware with your limits because GDR trades over the counter. Big intraday swings in SP are no exception (as is the case with Novacyt). I am invested in both Novacyt and Genedrive, and Bcart of course. Let me know what you think. I value a second opinion.
P.S. For the other investors reading this post, please do your own homework. I am not trying to push this stock, but I sure would have loved if someone had told me about Novacyt way earlier than I did.
