Na de leuke intermezzo van pharm_invest, laat ons terugkeren naar het eerstvolgende (zekere) evenement: de cijfers van SHIRE !!??
WAT MOGEN WE HIER VERWACHTEN???
rekening houdend met het feit dat ze eind oktober akkoord kregen van fda om voor zo'n 100 mlj usd (minderwaardige) cinryze op de markt te gooien(= à meer dan dubbele van de Q3-omzet van cinryze in US)

Shire will begin commercial manufacturing of Cinryze drug product in Vienna in the first quarter of 2018. Cinryze will also continue to be produced by a third-party supplier, providing an additional supply source to meet patient demand.

Hereditary angioedema (HAE) is a rare genetic disorder that is thought to affect between 1 in 10,000 and 1 in 50,000 people in the world. HAE can cause attacks of swelling in any part of the body, but the most common locations include the abdomen, face, feet, genitals, hands and throat. HAE attacks affecting the throat are potentially life-threatening, because patients are at risk of suffocation. The swelling in an HAE attack is sometimes painful and can happen without warning or an obvious trigger, lasting for days if untreated.

CINRYZE (C1 esterase inhibitor [human]) is one of the leading therapies approved for the treatment of HAE in adolescent and adult patients. CINRYZE can help reduce how often attacks occur, how severe they are, and how long they last. Shire's OnePath program offers patients help with their access to the therapy and product support needs.


Shire geeft Cinryze echt niet zomaar op. Het lijkt dat ze zich (weer) niet aan hun beloftes zullen houden om de patiënten van Cinryze asap over te zetten op Lanadeulumab. Dit blijkt uit het feit dat ze hun productiefaciliteiten uitbreiden, terwijl dat het nieuws over Lanadelumab resultaten maar uitblijft.
Ik ben benieuwd naar hun cijfers de 14de en wat ze daar zullen melden over beide producten!

Als je weer een keer naar enkhuizen kom om je eerste vrouw te bezoeken doe het dan op een vrijdagmiddag want dan zitten we met de Pharminggroep uit enkhuizen in de compagnie aan de (speciaal)biertjes, gezellig!

ik begrijp wel dat ze hun toekomst verwachting met 2 miljard naar beneden hebben bijgesteld.
Gewoon geld over de balk blijven gooien en niet willen toegeven dat je verloren hebt.
