Okay, liever had ik een partner gezien, maar wat nog niet is kan nog komen.
Ze hebben gisteren een OPA (aankoopaanbieding)
geweigerd, een bod dat interessant was voor de aandeelhouders (dixit Philippe Pouletty).

Ze willen het onderzoek van de Covid19 liever zelf doen.
Momenteel hebben ze een voorraad voor 50.000 behandelingen. Met hun industriele partners hebben ze de capaciteit om 1 million dossissen binnen de 6 maanden te maken.
Aan een faire prijs van 1.000€ per patient, reken maar ....

ALS, INDIEN, de molecule ABX464 doeltreffend zou zijn voor Covid19, dan gaan we naar 100€....
Ondertussen, met al dat goed nieuws, zou 30€ volgende week haalbaar zijn.

Inderdaad. Overnamebod zal wel wat hoger zijn dan de 22 euro waar we nu op staan

ik heb er bijgekocht aan 20€ vrijdag. mijn gemiddelde is 18.5€.

het blijft een speculatief aandeeltje, maar ik ga ze nu een tijdje bijhouden.

Nu staan we er met het nieuws van de afgelopen week stukken beter voor.
Dus die 30 gaat er wel aankomen deze week.

Het blijft apart dat het aandeel momenteel niet veel hoger noteert. Market cap is echt laag, er is nog veel ruimte voor stijging en dan ook nog een bod afgewezen door Abivax. Koers staat naar mijn mening veels te laag.

Koersverloop is uiterst vreemd, ongelofelijk dat deze zo weer is teruggezet naar zelfs € 19,36 als laagste punt. Omzetten zijn ook laag. Na het nieuws werd er nog grif € 24/25 voor betaald.

Heel apart weer vandaag.....het lijkt wel of de koers binnen een bandbreedte moet blijven. Als de koers wat wil stijgen dan gelijk de laat aanvullen tot onder de laatst uitgevoerde order.

Ik begrijp bovendien niet waarom men nu juist van zijn stukken af wil.

Bijgaand de clinical remission rates, waarbij ik ook Filgo en Upa heb bijgeschreven. Deze komen mede uit het rapport van Bryan Garnier van december 2019 (koersdoel € 37,50). Hoewel het wat lastig te vergelijken is, lijkt Abivax een stuk effectiever in vergelijking met alle anderen. Tevens heeft Abivax een goed veiligheidsprofiel. Kanttekening is wel dat het met relatief weinig patiënten is uitgevoerd in fase 2a (32).

Super bedankt voor het delen Bioteg. AB! Blijkt maar weer eens dat ABX464 de potentie heeft om best in class te worden. Aan de koers van Gala te zien lijkt het resultaat hun ook wat tegen te vallen. Goed nieuws voor Abivax!

Graag gedaan hoor. Ook prima om te zien dat bij een gebruik van 52/54 weken het nog beter werkt. Hopen dat de fase 2b resultaten begin 2021 dit allemaal verder bevestigen. Met een market cap van ong. € 250 mln is Abivax echt ontzettend laag gewaardererd. Bijna niemand die dit lijkt in te zien. Naast UC, ook nog onderzoek gaande in reuma en straks Crohn. Het is echt een fascinerend molecuul dat ABX464 (ook nog HIV trouwens) en COVID-19. En een overnamebod afgeslagen..... Dit kan toch alleen maar omhoog die koers, zou je zeggen?

Hello,

Stel dat Abx464 niet werkt voor Covid19, men zal het toch op meer dan 1.000 patienten testen.

Dit is zeer leerrijk voor Abivax, qua veiligheid en tolerantie van de molecule.

Ik las wel dat ze maar met 16 man werken bij Abivax. Het is dus nog een heel klein bedrijf. De weg is nog zeer lang.

Abivax (ABVX.PA), une société française avec un composé thérapeutique baptisé ABX464, est une autre biotechnologie en dessous de la barre radar pour la plupart des investisseurs américains, qui est en cours de réutilisation pour lutter contre le nouveau coronavirus.

Développé à l'origine pour traiter des maladies inflammatoires sévères, telles que la colite ulcéreuse, le composé ABX464 a empêché la réplication du SRAS-CoV-2, le coronavirus qui cause Covid-19, dans des cellules modelées d'après celles trouvées dans les poumons humains, selon le PDG Hartmut Ehrlich, MD En conséquence, cette société française peut détenir le seul composé capable de combiner des propriétés antivirales avec la capacité de bloquer l'inflammation et de favoriser la cicatrisation des tissus.

Alors que plus de 2000 essais concernant ce coronavirus sont actuellement en cours, selon l'Organisation mondiale de la santé, l'essai Abivax est le plus important, avec plus de 1000 participants devraient être traités avec ABX464 ou un placebo.

«Nous ne sommes pas ici pour vous dire que nous allons guérir Covid-19 aujourd'hui, mais nous disons que nous avons une solide justification clinique et scientifique, et cela signifie que l'ABX464 doit être évalué... chez les patients à haut risque», a déclaré Philippe Pouletty, MD, président d'Abivax et PDG de Truffle Capital, un investisseur majeur de l'entreprise.

L'aspect de guérison tissulaire du composé est particulièrement important, étant donné certains des effets à long terme de Covid-19 chez les patients. "Ce qu'ils voient chez les patients qui survivent réellement, c'est qu'ils ne sont pas revenus à une fonction pulmonaire normale, en grande partie parce qu'il y a une fibrose dans les poumons et que les tissus ne guérissent pas", a déclaré le Dr Ehrlich. "Ensuite, les patients ont des problèmes respiratoires même après avoir réussi à surmonter l'infection Covid."

Abivax s'attend à ce que son premier patient soit recruté d'ici la fin mai, et il pourrait avoir des résultats de haut niveau en novembre, selon le Dr Ehrlich. En supposant que des données convaincantes soient obtenues, Abivax soumettra les résultats aux autorités de réglementation en Europe, et éventuellement en Amérique du Nord, pour approbation et autorisation de mise sur le marché. Si elle est approuvée, la société pourrait traiter 50 000 patients avec des stocks existants et pourrait évoluer pour traiter un million de patients en quelques mois, selon le Dr Ehrlich.

Dat zou je wel zeggen inderdaad. Ik denk dat men toch bang is voor een naderende emissie. Dat daarom de handrem er ddeen beetje op blijft. Verder meen ik me te herinneren dat Abivax aangekondigd heeft uiterlijk q2 een partner aan te kondigen. Wanneer dat uitblijft kan het nog weleens spannend worden...

PARIS, France, May 25, 2020 – 07:00 a.m. (CEST) – Abivax SA (Euronext Paris: FR0012333284 – ABVX), a late stage clinical biotechnology company harnessing the immune system to develop novel treatments for inflammatory diseases, viral diseases and cancer, announces today that the German regulatory authority for drugs and medical products, BfArM (Bundesinstitut für Arnzeimittel und Medizinprodukte), has approved its Phase 2b/3 study of ABX464 in COVID-19 patients.

The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study is investigating early treatment (at diagnosis) in 1,034 COVID-19 elderly or high-risk patients (miR-AGE trial). The main goal of the trial is the potential of ABX464 to block viral replication in these patients as well as the severe inflammation that leads to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Abivax recently announced clearance by the French regulatory authorities (ANSM) and the ethics committee for this pan-European COVID-19 study.

Financing is being provided by the French investment bank Bpifrance, with €36 million in non-dilutive funding (€20.1. million grant, and €15.9 million loan refundable upon success) for this Phase 2b/3 trial, as well as manufacturing scale-up, additional clinical and other development costs.

Prof. Hartmut Ehrlich, M.D., CEO of Abivax, said: “We are pleased to receive such swift approval from German regulators, following quickly on the one from France. We are preparing for additional European regulatory authorities in countries that have been particularly affected by COVID-19, such as Spain, Italy, Belgium and Great Britain, to rapidly approve the miR-AGE trial of ABX464 to treat high-risk COVID-19 patients. With financing granted by Bpifrance, we are planning to enroll the first patients by the end of May and expect top-line data by the end of this year. In parallel, we will prepare to swiftly scale up manufacturing and apply for market approval, should the miR-AGE trial confirm ABX464’s clinical benefit in COVID-19 patients. Of course, Abivax also is continuing its other clinical trials, first and foremost the Phase 2b study with ABX464 in ulcerative colitis and the Phase 2a study of ABX464 to treat rheumatoid arthritis. Finally, we are continuing to entertain active discussions to secure further, preferably non-dilutive, financing.”

PD Christoph Boesecke, M.D., Senior Physician Infectiology at the University Hospital Bonn and leading clinical investigator for the miR-AGE clinical trial in Germany, said: “We are eager to initiate Abivax’s clinical trial to assess whether early anti-inflammatory treatment with ABX464 will improve patients’ outcomes. ABX464 is a late-stage development compound with a novel, first-in-class mechanism of action. Specifically, the overexpression of miR-124, a microRNA that is leading to anti-viral activity and down-regulation of important pro-inflammatory chemo- and cytokines like TNF alpha, IL-6, MCP-1 and IL-17. With its transformational efficacy data in patients with moderate-to-severe ulcerative colitis as well as its favorable safety profile in more than 300 volunteers and patients with HIV or ulcerative colitis, we believe that ABX464 should be urgently tested against placebo plus standard of care in this robust, double-blinded and sufficiently powered miR-AGE clinical trial in COVID-19 patients before they develop an acute respiratory distress syndrome.”

ABX464 is a convenient once-daily orally available small molecule with a unique mechanism of action, upregulating a microRNA, miR-124, with anti-inflammatory, antiviral and tissue repair properties. With its triple effect, the molecule is uniquely positioned to potentially limit replication of SARS-CoV-2 virus, prevent, and treat the cytokine storm, hyper-inflammation, and acute respiratory failure syndrome as well as potentially limit long-term lung injury. ABX464 is the only molecule known to have this triple effect.

Because ABX464 is orally available, it enables the inclusion of hospitalized and, importantly, non-hospitalized COVID-19 patients in the clinical trial. Thus, high-risk patients will be treated earlier, upon diagnosis. This could save lives by preventing progression of the disease to more severe forms and relieve the resulting burden on hospitals.
