'Putin isn't aware of chaos'

VLADIMIR PUTIN is "not aware of the mess and chaos" besetting the Russian army, the mother of two conscripted soldiers has said.

Interviewing under the pseudonym “Marina” to protect her identity, the Russian mother said her two sons were taken into Ukraine having only “held a gun once” and having “no plans to sign a contract” to fight as professional soldiers. She claimed “officers lied, sergeants lied” to her face as she lost contact with her sons and scrambled to find them. It is a fate seemingly befalling many Russian families, with the head of a Russian Soldier’s Mothers Committee saying many had been left “completely in the dark”.

Marina said: “They lied to my face. Officers lied, sergeants, lied. But I’d like to believe that our President, the commander-in-chief, just isn’t aware of the mess and chaos in our army.

“I want to tell him that not everything here is like what they say it is on the television.”

Earlier, the Russian mother described her two sons being taken into Ukraine having only been conscripted into the army three months previously.

She said they were taken into battle having never signed professional contracts with the Russian forces.

She said: “I was told the terrifying news, ‘Your children have signed to become professional soldiers.

"‘They’re taking part in the special military operation, and they will return as heroes.’

“I said. ‘What on earth are you talking about? They had no plans to sign a contract. They’ve been in the Army for three months! They’ve only held a gun once!’

It was later revealed that professional contracts had not been signed by her sons and they were brought back to Russia.

Russia’s Su-35 fighter jet has been shot down by the Ukrainian fighter aircraft over Kherson Region.

The relevant statement was made by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“At about 02:00 p.m., May 27, 2022, Ukraine’s MiG-29 fighter aircraft shot down Russia’s Su-35 fighter jet, which was hunting for Ukrainian assault aircrafts, over Kherson Region,” the report states.

De colonne boven Kiev kon alleen over de weg verder. Ze hadden stukken land onder water gezet, en de landerijen waren drassig. In Oost Oekraïne kunnen tanks momenteel gemakkelijk over het land, het is in het algemeen droog daar momenteel. In de meeste gevallen hoeft de weg nu niet gebruikt te worden om verder te komen.

Russia redeploying land, air, naval forces from Crimea to southern Ukraine

Russia is redeploying its land, air, and naval forces from the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula to Zaporizhzhia direction, southern Ukraine.

“A column of military equipment – about 20 tented trucks and 20 Grad multiple rocket launchers – headed from Crimea towards Melitopol. In addition, the enemy group was reinforced by a T-62 tank battalion,” the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration posted on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers did not conduct active hostilities in Zaporizhzhia direction but fired on Ukrainian positions with mortars, rocket and tube artillery, conducted counterbattery activities.

The Administration notes that the Russian military builds a third line of defense and redeploys reinforcements to consolidate and hold its position in southern Ukraine. At the same time, the occupiers' engineering units mined the shores of Kakhovka Reservoir.

“All this shows that Russia will try to keep the occupied territories under its control. For the same purpose, the enemy intensified the propaganda efforts in the occupied territories through the available means of television and radio broadcasting,” the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration added.

A Russian official who demanded that President Vladimir Putin end the war against Ukraine
was branded a traitor, escorted out of a high-level meeting and denied the right to vote, according to local media reports.

During a meeting of the Legislative Assembly of Russia's Primorsky Krai in the far east of the country, a member of Russia's Communist Party faction, Leonid Vasyukevich, appealed to Putin to stop the months-long war in Ukraine and to withdraw his troops from the country.

Speaking on behalf of four party members in a rare critique of what Putin describes a "special military operation," Vasyukevich said he and his colleagues had signed an appeal to the president.

"We understand that if our country does not stop the military operation, there will be even more orphans in our country," said Vasyukevich. "During the military operation, young people who could bring great benefit to our country die and become disabled."

He added, "We demand the immediate withdrawal of the troops of the Russian Federation."

The incident, which has been described as a "provocation" by Russian state-run media, reportedly prompted a backlash from the region's governor, Oleg Kozhemyako, who called the official a "traitor."

In response, the governor accused Vasyukevich of "defaming the Russian army and our defenders who are in the fight against Nazism."

"A traitor," he said at the meeting.

The region's legislative assembly then escorted Vasyukevich and his colleague, Gennady Shulga, from the meeting. They were both denied the right to vote at the session, reported independent Russian language news outlet MediaZona.

The head of Russia's Communist Party faction also vowed to take "tough action" against Vasyukevich and Shulga.

Their words "discredit the honor" of the party, Anatoly Dolgachev said.

This "absolute demarche is not coordinated with the faction," he added.

‘Kissinger still lives in the 20th century’: Ukraine hits back at suggestion it should cede land to Russia

A Ukrainian MP has given what he called a “polite” reply to former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger’s suggestion that Ukraine should be prepared to cede some territory to Moscow in order to reach a peace deal.

“I think Mr. Kissinger still lives in the 20th century, and we are in the 21st century and we are not going to give up any inch of our territory,” Oleksiy Goncharenko, a Ukrainian member of parliament, told CNBC on Wednesday.

“That would be the worst signal to Putin,” he added.

“We should stop Putin now and not let him go further,” Goncharenko said, adding that he believes the best way to establish peace is to bring Ukraine inside the European Union as quickly as possible.

CNBC has contacted Kissinger’s representatives for a response to criticism of his comments.

Kissinger, who is also a former U.S. national security advisor, caused a stir earlier this week when he suggested that Ukraine should be prepared to cede some territory to Russia in order to reach a peace deal with Moscow.

Speaking on a panel at the World Economic Forum on Monday, Kissinger said, “Ideally, the dividing line should return to the status quo ante,” meaning a return to the existing state of affairs before the war, suggesting that he thought that Russia should be allowed to retain Crimea, which it annexed in 2014.

Kissinger, who served under Presidents Richard M. Nixon and Gerald Ford, said that “pursuing the war beyond that point would not be about the freedom of Ukraine ... but a new war against Russia itself.”

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has ruled out ceding any land to Russia as part of a deal, particularly in reference to the Donbas region in eastern Ukraine, which Russian forces are currently focused on seizing.

It’s unclear whether Kyiv might accept that Crimea remains in Russian hands, however.

Ukraine’s foreign affairs minister added to criticism of Kissinger’s suggestion. “I respect Henry Kissinger, but I appreciate that he’s not holding any official position in the U.S. administration, he has his own opinion, but we strongly disagree with it,” Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine’s foreign minister, told CNBC on Wednesday.

“This is not something we’re going to do,” he added.

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte commented on the Kissinger fallout, telling CNBC on Wednesday that while “it’s almost impossible to say that you disagree with Henry Kissinger ... I’m afraid that on television now I have to officially declare that I disagree with Henry Kissinger if that is the statement he makes.”

“For us the territorial integrity, the sovereignty of Ukraine stands above all else and it is up to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, and his team to decide how they will conduct the peace negotiations that we hope will start one day,” he told CNBC’s Steve Sedgwick in Davos, Switzerland, at the World Economic Forum.

De Federale Staat Rusland is het grootste land ter wereld met +/- 144 miljoen inwoners de illegalen niet meegerekend.
Haar economie is vrijwel gelijk aan die van Italie.
Van deze economie is 56 % uit moederaarde zoals olie, gas, steenkool, diamant en bijzondere metalen.
Voor het ontginnen van deze fossiele brandstoffen zijn eerder veelal buitenlandse bedrijven aangetrokken zoals bijvoorbeeld Shell.
De overige 44% is slechts uit eigen hand en bijzonder laag te noemen waarvan gezegd een behoorlijk deel nog voor oorlogsindustrie.

De rat uit de KGB nu FSB heeft naar schatting 400.000 FSB medewerkers in dienst die zijn positie beschermen en elkaar via verschillende lagen in de gaten houden en tevens de top van het leger onder controle houden.
Dat kost een behoorlijke duit uit de begroting.

In plaats van zijn obsessie om het Sovjet_rijk te herstellen had hij en zijn kliek een boost aan de economie kunnen geven door veel projecten op te starten die tot een grotere en welvarende economie zouden kunnen leiden.
Een deel van de inkomsten uit de grondstoffen van moederaarde daarbij in te zetten om zulks te bereiken in een vergaand meerjarenplan.

Uiteraard had de rat met zijn kliek dan zijn duistere plannen moeten opgeven en zijn onderliggende verborgen rijkdom moeten afstaan.

De gebalde vuist van de beer was dan vervangen door een werkelijk trots voor het Russische volk waarbij zij als geheel verdienstelijk zouden kunnen zijn op weg naar een welvarende economie en meer verdeeld over het gehele volk.
De autocratie zou dan geleidelijk vervangen kunnen worden door een democratie met openheid waardoor het Russische volk zelf veel profijt van zou kunnen hebben en de toenadering van landen om hen heen geleidelijk zou kunnen plaatsvinden.

Helaas en betreurenswaardig heeft de rat de verkeerde weg gekozen en een soeverein land aangevallen dat deels dacht beschermd te zijn door het memorandum van Boedapest(1994) hetgeen inhield dat de grenzen van Oekraine gewaarborgd zouden worden in ruil voor het opgeven van het totale kernwapenarsenaal en overhandigd aan de Federale Staat Rusland.

Gezegd moet ook dat het Russische volk niet onschuldig is want het heeft niet blijvend gevochten voor o.a vrije journalistiek en openheid.

Bre ik begrijp dit helemaal/Het had zonder die corrupte Poetinkliek zo anders kunnen lopen met brede vooruitgang in Rusland en niet alleen de Poetin vriendjes met hun patserig gedrag.

Ergens begrijp ik bepaald gedrag van de rijken niet. Had ik tientallen miljoenen ofzo dan en paar miljoen aan mijn dochters en voor de rest zou ik het wegschenken aan kinderen die geen goede opleiding krijgen vanwege gebrek aan geld.

Meneer Poetin? Wat heeft hij gedaan aan het helpen van arme mensen op het platteland daar met echte efficiënte landbouw? Niks! meneer begrijpt als ex spion werkelijk niets van echte economische ontwikkeling behalve als er iets is in die richting is vanwege aanwezige grondstoffen de eigen zakken te vullen.

Tja wat valt te verwachten? Meneer heeft alleen maar afgemaakte spionnen opleideng van die meedogenloze KGB.

PS doet mij ook wat denken over de machtsovername in Afghanistan. De taliban konden zo doorlopen zonder weerstand en dan krijg je wat je wilt blijkbaar.

Zo ook in Rusland zolang die bevolking Poetin als grote held ziet dan zij het zo en moeten ze maar de gevolgen ervan nemen

In essentie moet een volk maar beslissen oven hoe ze dingen willen.

Neem Afghanistan. Nou de Taliban konden doorlopen zonder enig echt verzet. Mijn conclusie heel cynisch: ze willen daar blijkbaar de Taliban en ze doen maar. Het is alsof je een mening moet hebben over een paar Apen die hun ding doen in het Apenbos. Ze zoeken het lekker zelf maar uit! En regelen hun eigen inkomsten maar en wat mij betreft geen cent daar naar toe. You get what you want!

Met Rusland zelfde verhaal maar wat gecompliceerder. Feil is dat meneer Poetin weinig heeft gedaan aan armoede bestrijding en economische ontwikkeling en veel aan zelfverrijking met zijn vriendjes.

Toch het blijft wat na dat Poetinmonster? En daar ben ik dus niet positief over tenzij de jongeren in Rusland nu massaal opstaan tegen deze volkerenmoord.
