Very quiet on the market today. The big question is why? MonthEnd? Friday? Or, is everyone waiting for the US.
My thoughts are: following the Kavanaugh/Ford hearing last night it is clear that at 9:30 (US time) they are going forward with the confirmation of the Trump nominated candidate, Kavanaugh. We all know that the financial markets are very anti-Trump, (even though everyone knows Kavanaugh is the most highly qualified person for the Supreme Court) and I am really torn about how the markets will react to it. Common sense says it will be fine - I should keep hold of my Arcelor position over the weekend. But recently common sense does not seem to apply to the markets.
What do you all think? Will this confirmation vote impact the markets?
