toch nog maar wat binnengeharkt vlak voor sluit op 16.62 usd. Sentiment morgen is wel een gokje waard.
Vingers crossed, kan beide kanten opgaan morgen. Vooral als JP in US roet in t eten gaat gooien.

OK, maar er is in ieder geval geen slecht nieuws. En er zijn ook nog eens 72 witte neushoorns door barrick in een park gestopt!

Ik zit uitsluitend in barrick vanwege de veronderstelde bullcase for gold, en niet omdat ik het zo'n geweldig aandeel vind.

Is een topaandeel tussen de 14-17usd en soms een uitbraak naar 20usd en ideaal om puts en calls te schrijven plus dividenden van 3-4%
Stabiele belegging met weinig risico’s op lange termijn.

Het is inderdaad een stabiele belegging, dus leuk om zonder gek risico mee in koper en goud te zitten. Plus wat fantasie in de goudmarkt, en waarschijnlijk zit er een wat hogere productie in koper en goud aan te komen.

Nee, maar wel de us is wel op een bepaalde manier aanwezig in Mali dat hetzelfde beleid lijkt te hebben als Niger.

Barrick Gold anticipeert al op een eventueel verlies van productie in Mali door te investeren in Jamaica.
De geological setting in Jamaica is comparable to the Pueblo Viejo mine in the
Dominican Republic.
De opbrengst van de Pueblo Viejo mijn is vergelijkbaar met de productie in Mali.
En Barrick Gold verwacht dat Jamaica net zoveel op zal leveren als de Pueblo Viejo mijn.
Verder heeft Barrick Gold gewoon de financiële power om bijvoorbeeld een Renegade Gold over te nemen dit is een goudzoeker die de meeste grond bezit in het Red Lake District in Canada.
Renegade Gold heeft in hun Newman Todd Camp al veel goud aangetoond.
Ik denk dat de junta in Mali zich eerder in de voet schiet dan direct Barrick Gold de wacht aan te zeggen.

Je vergeet het koperproject in pakistan!

Ik vind die legerleider in mali nog niet zo'n rare vent, en denk dat hij vast wel slim genoeg is zijn land niet "uninvestable" te maken.

Ik had Reko Diq in Pakistan niet genoemd omdat het al een bekend koper en ook goud project is.

Aandeel koper in de opbrengst is 16,99 %

Goud en ook koper hoger en de koers nu wel voorbij de 17usd.
Spijtig voor de korte handel en nu in stappen de langlopende calls voor jan’26 strike 13usd verkopen.
Geschreven puts 15/17usd voor jan’25 die blijven staan en ik wacht ook met calls te schrijven tot een koers van 20-22usd als die moest komen.
Op deze goudprijs die geen krimp geeft en met rentes die een keer dalen verwacht ik best veel van barrick maar op rendements redenen houd men het toch zo graag rond die 15-18usd en daarom speel ik ook hier wat op in.

Klopt het volgende? Hoge inflatie betekent geld(dollar) is minder waard dus goud wordt duurder. Lage(re)inflatie betekent lagere rente waardoor de dollar wat zwakker wordt en goud duurder. In beide scenario's geen slecht vooruitzicht voor Barrick.
