Here a thought I found somewhere interesting to share relating to the comments of Dr. Javitt's interview today: “Positive results in critically ill patients could be due to the placebo effect.” Only he said the vast majority of these patients were in ICU and unconscious and unaware that they were going on any kind of medicine. He has to say that since the 2x blind is not done yet. But you are spot on.

Of course it is not. But he had to say this way. It is not placebo control study. He spoke the facts not hype. I love it.

Gezien de goede resultaten is het ook lastig om kritieke patiënten een placebo te geven. Je zult als arts maar overtuigd zijn van de werking en toch placebo's moeten geven.

Kun je real time zien op het koersverloop grafiekje (niet uitgaan van de getallen er boven deze zijn 15min vertraagd)
Als je op grafiek naar 1D kun je de RT zien. (Je ziet hem wel na 1min een vreemde sprong doen naar de koers van 15min geleden ...)

Goede samenvatting interview Javit van een zeker Jesse (bedankt) op een ander forum.

Some great points made during Dr Jonathan Javitt's interview this morning:

1) Next week, Houston Methodist hospital will provide update on critical ill patients and their outcomes. This is part of the Open Label study being done. He mentioned not to ruin the surprise but out of 5 patients on ECMO (Ventilators and very ill) 4 are alive. Dr Yosef to provide update next week.
2) Mentioned that in Brazil, doctors have already experience the great results on their patients from taking RLF 100
3) There is a new trial ready to start in September in regards to the INHALER form (VIP). They received FDA emergency designation on this.
4) No Safety Concerns on more than 100 patients that have been administered RLF 100. Not a single incident of adverse or safety concern with the drug.
5) Dr. Javitt met with the FDA last week and the outcome was a very positive scientific discussion.
6) Dr. Javitt is very connected and has the respect of the FDA based on his work and experience. He mentioned that his investigation drug application was approved by FDA within 48 hours when it can take weeks or months. He also mentioned that he requested to meet with the FDA. This usually takes up to 60 days to receive a response. He received response from FDA within 1 week.
7) RLF 100 is being administered in Houston, Miami, Kentucky, California. By the end of month should be at more than 10 hospitals.
8) Ready to announce a partnership with a BIG PHARMA for manufactured and distribution
9) We are about to receive an update by the Data Monitoring Committee on the trial taking place.
10) Provided evidence in X rays as to how the drug has helped critically ill patients go through a rapid recovery.

Major news today from the YT interview
- TWO Major partnerships are to be announced soon. One agreement is with one of the largest drug distributor in the country and the other is with the largest manufacturer of sterile inhalers in the country
-Improved CXR visible pneumonitis (ground glass pattern) in ALL 21 compassionate use COVID patients
-Improved oxygenation in ALL 21 compassionate use COVID patients w/fulminant resp failure on vent
- 4/5 COVID (+) patients on ECMO survived to pump free state
- IL-6 decreased by 80% after RLF-100 administration in 21 COVID + patients under compassionate use program. CRP also notably decreased.
-One half of patients enrolled in the inhalational trial are expected to be outpatient w/real time monitoring during use w/the inhaler to monitor time dose and pulse oximetry results before and after inhaler use
-Dr. Yousef from Houston Medical is releasing compassionate use results next week (Aug 17-21)
-Interim case control trial data is going to be reviewed after 102 patients (they have 80+ currently enrolled)
