Bullish traders are snapping up calls on ArcelorMittal, the world's largest steelmaker. "ArcelorMittal has been ailing along with other steelmakers, but today the sector came back to life," wrote optionMonster analyst David Russell on the firm's website. Investors focused on the June $33 strike calls. More than 10,000 contracts have changed hands, more than 90 percent on the offers, at an average price of 85 cents per contract, said Patrick Mortimer, director of options trading at Pipeline Trading Systems. This contract alone has seen more volume on Tuesday morning than ArcelorMittal usually sees during a full day of option trading, he said. These new positions will need the shares to rise more than 4.1 percent over the next four weeks before any profits will be seen based on the share price of $32.51. "AcelorMittal's shares are attempting to rebound from their lowest price level in 2011," Mortimer said. The only upcoming event that may help their cause, and these option owners, is the company's participation in the Deutsche Bank Global Industrials and Basic Materials conference in Chicago on June 15, Mortimer added.
