Ik heb de video van Mobileye nu twee keer integraal bekeken. Of beter gezegd, geluisterd, onderweg in de auto toch niets beters te doen. Het deep learning is inderdaad een weinig besproken onderwerp. Hij noemde het voorbeeld dat wij mensen weten dat als we willen invoegen, je soms vriendelijke bestuurders hebt die je ruimte geven en soms agressieve medeweggebruikers die juist extra gas geven om je er niet tussen te laten.
De auto moet als het ware zelf-lerend zijn, net zoals wij leren vanaf het moment dat we de weg op gaan. Mooie vergelijking die hij gaf was dat wij het heel normaal vinden dat mensen eerst 40 lessen moeten nemen, en soms wel 60 of 80 voor we de weg op mogen en daarna leren we nog steeds bij van de dagelijkse ritjes. En een auto zou direct alles goed moeten begrijpen als ie de garage uit rijdt. Een machine moet dus menselijker worden, dat wil zeggen zowel leren, maar inherent daaraan dus ook fouten maken. Waar wij onszelf voor fouten vergeven vinden we echter dat machines die niet mogen maken en dat is misschien niet zo 'fair'.
