En goed verhaal bij BAM...

Daar hoop je dan op...
Bijvangst is dan koers omhoog en naar de 5,20 die een ieder nu wel eens op de borden wil zien en de shorters eruit..
En dat alleen omdat het kan...

Ben nog altijd in gespannen afwachting van ( de bevestiging van) de definitieve toewijzing aan BAM vd bouw vh hospitaal in Dublin. Nu heeft de ontwikkeling van dat ziekenhuis al een lange geschiedenis, maar wanneer gaat de kogel nu echt door de kerk? Het was nog maar een gerucht in the Irish times, maar waar rook is, is vuur.....

Grap in de krant: "Waarom moet ziekenhuis zo duur zijn"?. Antwoord: dat hangt af van de grootte van de wachtkamer......... Het zegt mogelijk iets over de kwaliteit van de gezondheidszorg daar. Bitter, dat wel....

The 465€m Liverpool 2 project is one of Britain’s biggest private infrastructure developments. But it is now home to a cavity 10m wide and 6m deep.

The 30m tall quay was built out into the River Mersey to accommodate the world’s biggest ships, which cannot fit through locks to the existing docks.

Mr Fox said it would be Britain’s post-Brexit “link to the world”. The European Investment Bank, supported by EU taxpayers, has lent €185m to the scheme.

So far only one shipping line has used the facility, although there is plenty of available space on the 854m long berth despite the hole.

Peel Holdings, the property conglomerate that owns the docks, said it was investigating.

“We have secured the affected area and our contractors and their technical experts are conducting a full assessment to understand the root cause. Once this has been completed a programme of remedial works will be developed and deployed,” said a spokeswoman.

It had not affected operations at the terminal, she said.

The project has suffered construction setbacks before Lend Lease won the initial contract in 2012 but handed it back a year later.

Bam Nuttall took on the 87€m initial contract in 2013, in a joint venture with Van Oord, the Dutch dredging firm. The work included building a new 854m quay wall, the installation of ship-to-shore crane rails as well as supporting infrastructure works such as new road, surfacing and fencing.

The project has been troubled from the start. The civil engineering contractor noted in its 2014 results that it had been an “extremely challenging contract”, which had resulted in a “significant loss for the company”.

Bam Nuttall said this week it was “aware of the sinkhole and investigations are taking place”.

The quay wall contains 329 tubular steel piles weighing 47 tonnes each. In total, 19,000 tonnes of steelwork was needed to create the wall and 30,000 cubic metres of concrete to build the capping beam.

Five “megamax” cranes from China have been placed on top, each 92m high and weighing 1,600 tonnes. At full capacity the project will have eight.

Civil engineers said that building in a tidal estuary with shifting geology always carried a risk.

Prof Chris Hunt of Liverpool John Moores University said the river bed had pockets of water-bearing sand squashed between layers of mud. If a heavy structure presses on the sand, the grains can part and it liquefies, suddenly flowing away. This is known as a “hydrocollapse”.

“It may have happened when the cranes arrived. It is always a risk when you are loading. I do not think they have used enough piles. They have clearly got a major remedial job on their hands.”

Simply plugging it with concrete could cause a fresh collapse, he said.

He said the building techniques used were common to such structures but estuaries posed a particular challenge. There is also dredging to keep a 16m deep berth by the wall, which could encourage sand movement.

“These deposits are very complex. You may well get a reoccurrence somewhere else on the dock,” Prof Hunt said.

Much of Liverpool’s old dockland, including the famous seafront buildings known as the Three Graces, was built in the river, but the Victorians and Edwardians put piles very close together, so the river bed bore little weight.

Some hydrocollapses create a sand volcano on adjacent seabed, where the liquid sand bursts to the surface unexpectedly, possibly causing a danger to shipping.

The Health and Safety Executive has been notified although there were no injuries when the cavity opened.

The EIB said it was in contact with Peel Ports concerning “ongoing technical investigations.”

ja 7 euro en kopen advies.....

het is gewoon een wonder dat het nog zo laag is....
Maar maakt niet uit ieder zijn verwachting....
we zien het wel wat er komen gaat.....
En 4,75 die kan wel van de borden want anders komen we nooit omhoog...

Kijk eens wat Arcelor M. gedaan heeft nadat de cijfers bekend zijn geworden vanmorgen. De koersstijging doet er toe, maakt dus ( om in jouw woorden te spreken) best wel een zak uit.

Waar het mij om gaat: De koers kan best wel op cijfers reageren. Trouwens tegenover verkopers staan ook kopers.

Eurostat ingestemd met de voorwaarden van de specificaties van Luik tram als een Publiek Private Samenwerking (PPS), zei vrijdag de Waalse minister van Mobiliteit Di Carlo Antonio.

De Europese instantie is ook van mening dat de operatie kan worden gedeconsolideerd regionale rekeningen, de minister toegevoegd. Regionale Waalse Transport Company (SRWT) moet nu voorleggen aan de Waalse regering ter goedkeuring, bestek en de aanbestedingsstukken voor de benoeming van het consortium dat verantwoordelijk is voor de uitvoering van het project zal zijn. Deze specificaties zullen de kandidaten in het voorjaar worden gestuurd, zei de TEC-groep.

Op 8 februari heeft de raad van bestuur van de Société Régionale Wallonne du Transport gekozen voor de drie nominaties voor de markt: Alstom-BAM PPP PGGM, CAF-Colas-DIF en Skoda-Vinci-CFE-Meridiam-ETF.

Het contract moet worden toegekend in de eerste helft van 2018, aldus Carlo Di Antonio.

Minimaal 5 maal meegemaakt, dat de koers voor datum publicatie-cijfers sterk steeg en dat na bekendmaking cijfers, de koers enorm kelderde. Ondanks de positieve berichten vooraf!!! BAM heeft altijd een verrassing in petto, maar welke?
