Terwijl de positivo's, waaronder ik, de koers up zien gaan speelt een PietParticulier met vuur en gaat short met een Turbo Short met Stoploss van 9,35 voor 30 cent

Een degelijk hefboom is aantrekkelijk voor gokkers.

TomTom als bekendste GPS Systeem.
Een van de bekendste GPS-systemen, of auto volgsysteem, is de Tom Tom. Wat niet veel mensen weten is dat TomTom een Nederlands bedrijf is dat in 2002 zijn eerste navigatiesysteem lanceerde. Daarna zijn er verschillende modellen met nieuwe innovatieve functies ontwikkeld, zelfs vandaag de dag worden er verdere ontwikkelingen uitgevoerd voor de navigatiesystemen zoals wij deze kennen, en niet alleen door het Nederlandse TomTom.

De TomTom concurreert met verschillende soorten navigatiesystemen. Een voorbeeld van een grote concurrent is Google Maps. Zij maken beide gebruik van satellieten om de locatie in kaart te brengen voor de gebruiker. De Google Maps-gebruiker heeft internet nodig om gebruik te maken van Google Maps, dit hoeft bij de TomTom GPS volger niet.

Een van de voordelen van een TomTom is dat je eenvoudiger een telefoongesprek kunt voeren zonder dat het navigeren hierdoor verstoord wordt. Bij het navigeren met Google Maps rijden er wel eens wat mensen verkeerd omdat ze niet kunnen (en mogen!) telefoneren en navigeren op hetzelfde moment.

Today, Here announced that it’s offering high-definition 3D models of 75 major cities to enterprise developers — data that will enable companies to create the next wave of mapping, smart city, and entertainment apps using mixed reality and 5G technologies.

Covering urban centers such as London, Paris, and San Francisco, Here’s Premier 3D Cities models include both buildings and road networks, each with rich data layers, such as location names and addresses. Each structure is volumetrically and geospatially accurate to a sub-meter level, Here says, including size and elevation, even including its real-world exterior color. To aid in both data streaming and rendering, Here renders each square kilometer of data in smaller tiles using the Cesium 3D format.

FCA tritt online auf

Microsoft kondigt tijdens CES 2021 de Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ aan. De hybride tablet is alleen te koop voor bedrijven en scholen. De buitenkant van de tablet blijft hetzelfde, maar intern is er wel het één en ander veranderd. Zo is er nu ruimte voor de elfde generatie Intel-processor.

Huawei plans on integrating HarmonyOS into 100 million devices by the end of the year.

Intel en Mobileye willen vanaf 2025 zelfrijdende auto’s

In 2017 nam Intel het Israëlische bedrijf Mobileye over voor een bedrag van 15 miljard dollar. Drie jaar later, tijdens CES 2021, wordt duidelijk dat die investering de komende jaren zijn vruchten af gaat werpen. Het is de bedoeling dat de komende jaren, met behulp van LiDAR technologie, de zelfrijdende auto toegankelijker wordt voor de consument. Niet alleen op technologisch gebied, maar ook zeker op financieel gebied. Het gebruik van LiDAR kan ervoor zorgen dat er flink wat kosten worden gedrukt tijdens de productie, waar de consument vervolgens weer voordeel uit haalt.

Mobileye is met een aandeel van 80% marktleider op het gebied van advanced driver-assitance vision systems. Op dit moment ligt de focus voornamelijk bij het assisteren van automobilisten. Het is dus helemaal niet gek dat dit bedrijf al zo ver is in de plannen. Volgens CEO Amnon Sashua is het plan om “de droom” van autonoom rijden voor 2025 te realiseren. De kans dat dit gaat lukken is groot, aangezien het gebruik ervan dus veel toegankelijker wordt. Met dank aan de LiDAR technologie.

Pakjes aan huis zonder koerier

Nuro, een bedrijf opgericht door ex-werknemers van Google, kreeg de toelating voor de Bay Area (San Francisco, Californië). Het gaat niet over ritten langs vaste routes zoals die waarmee de Amerikaanse warenhuisketen Walmart nu al experimenteert.

Nuro, dat met Japanse fondsen werkt, gaat echter het eerste commerciële netwerk opzetten met een vloot van Toyota Prius-wagens en op maat gebouwde elektrische R2-voertuigen. Daarmee zijn in 2020 in verschillende staten beperkte experimenten uitgevoerd. Voor klanten als opnieuw Walmart maar ook voor Domino's Pizza.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands, January 13, 2021 Location technology specialist, TomTom (TOM2), today released the TomTom Traffic Index, a report detailing the traffic situation in 2020 in over 400 cities in 57 countries. Although the ranking of the world’s most congested cities has shifted very little from 2019, the big change is how far congestion levels have fallen due to the global pandemic. Out of the 416 cities included in the Index, 387 saw a significant decrease (average of 21%) in congestion, and an astonishing 28% average decrease in congestion during rush hours, bucking a trend that has seen congestion increase by an average of 2-3% year-on-year.
