Eco-routing from bosch for the new ford focus

Het nieuwe ford 5 mfd navigatie systeem voor de nieuwe ford focus maakt gebruik van een hmi (human-machine interface), eco routing , operationeel in 44 eurolanden , nuttige tips over hotels en treinen enz geleverd door bosch , maar nu komt het, alle info wat op het sd kaartje staat is direct afkomstig van tomtom wordt namelijk onder licensing van tele atlas uitgebracht zag het kaartje bij toeval liggen in een nieuwe ford focus,het bewuste navi systeemwordt ook gebruikt in c-max s-max en galaxy.

Mooi stukje Phantomtom.

Dit is nou een mooi voorbeeld van geen hardware maken maar wel content en services leveren. Het is natuurlijk mooi als je zowel de hardware EN de software mag leveren in een totaaloplossing. automotive.tomtom.com/hardware/full-i...

Maar als je geen hardware levert, maar wel de content, dan heb je nog steeds de marge rijke inkomsten. Ik plak nog even de slide met de trend erbij. Kijk naar de verhouding tussen hardware en content en services. Nu al 32%. Zelfs al blijft de omzet van TomTom gelijk. Als ze die verhouding richting 50/50 weet te krijgen worden ze zeker winstgevender.

Kijk eens op de site bosch .com car multimedia, ik denk dat meer sd kaartjes gevuld worden met licensing van tele atlas en dat die niet alleen bestemd zijn voor ford namelijk opel en vw maken hier ook gebruik van.

Je kunt er wel aan zien dat Garmin marktleider is in de VS. Staat toch op no. 1.
Maar ook veel TomTom in de top 10. En in Europa is TomTom weer marktleider
en Garmin de no.2.

Mijndomein Auto introduces a CO2 neutral private lease concept with TomTom technology
Amsterdam, 29 November 2011 – TomTom and private lease company Mijndomein Auto partner-up to offer a CO2 neutral private lease programme.

Consumers and businesses can lease a brand new Peugeot, equipped with TomTom Business Solutions technology for €219 per month. The CO2 emission will be compensated by Mijndomein Auto into a Gold Standard accredited carbon offset project.

The fuel efficient Peugeot is equipped with a semi-integrated TomTom PRO 3100 navigation device that gives drivers instant feedback on their driving behaviour and fuel consumption. This helps them to reduce costs and carbon emissions.

“This partnership is an exciting step for Business Solutions into the leasing market, bringing our green technologies from fleet management to a broader public” said Thomas Schmidt, Managing Director TomTom Business Solutions. “In Mijndomein Auto we have found a partner that recognises the financial gains of responsible driving and shares these benefits with drivers through a favourable lease rate.”

The first batch of 200 cars will be equipped with additional TomTom technology to monitor mileage, fuel efficiency and emissions. This offers the opportunity to benchmark the actual costs of maintenance, fuel efficiency and damages for the Mijndomein fleet of identical vehicles over a long period.

The PRO 3100 is semi-integrated on the dashboard and provides real-time services such as TomTom HD Traffic, speed camera and weather information and local search.

TomTom’s local search app with 10 million places made available to Android users
Amsterdam, 29 November 2011 – TomTom has made its local search app TomTom Places available to Android smart phone users. Users can make easier and more specific searches for shops, hotels, restaurants or tourist attractions with detailed information allowing users refine their results and choose precisely what they are looking for.

The local search is based on TomTom’s enhanced POI database of 10 million places and provides directions to the destination taking into account the current traffic situation. The application does not provide turn-by-turn navigation functionality.

"With Android’s market share reaching over 50% in most countries we have significantly increased our reach”, says Lucien Groenhuijzen, Managing Director TomTom Places. “People appreciate the search results and one out of two search requests lead to a call, e-mail or visit to the website via the application.”

TomTom Places’ Android app is available in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Sweden and The Netherlands and is supported in the local languages. It will be made available in Spain in December.

Dit kon nog wel eens een enorme omzet gaan opleveren. Misschien wel 50% van de jaar omzet binnen een jaar schat ik. Logisch dat de koers stijgt.
