Koers werd omhoog gekocht met 50k, 100k en 50k. Maar de kruimeldieven zetten m tegen het eind net zo hard weer lager. Want ' het morgen eens mis kunnen gaan met de beurs en dan moet je wel de boodschappen in huis hebben....'.

Nieuwe publicatie toont voordelen van circulaire verdienmodellen voor gebouwde omgeving
Bunnik, 5 april 2017 – BAM heeft samen met het ingenieursbureau Arup de resultaten gepubliceerd van onderzoek naar de voordelen van circulaire verdienmodellen (circular business models) voor alle belanghebbenden in de gebouwde omgeving. Het rapport, ondersteund door de Ellen MacArthur Foundation (EMF) in het kader van het CE100- programma, stelt een nieuwe benadering voor van de bouwketen.

De bouwsector is wereldwijd de grootste gebruiker van grondstoffen. Dit schept grote uitdagingen bij de introductie van circulaire verdienmodellen. Het rapport biedt verschillende oplossingen om bedrijven te helpen bij het besparen op grondstoffen en afvalbeheerskosten. Het betreft onder meer het formuleren van ontwerpeisen voor de lange termijn, de rol van technologie en innovatie, de invoering van nieuwe productie- en consumptiemodellen, samenwerking met toeleveranciers en de levenscyclus van een bouwproject.

De publicatie benadrukt hoe innovatie (met inbegrip van digitale platforms, productpaspoorten, 3D-printers en sensoren) een belangrijke rol zal spelen in de transitie naar circulaire verdienmodellen. Grondstof-databases zullen worden ontwikkeld om in de toekomst hergebruik van deze grondstoffen te vergemakkelijken en hun restwaarde in de gebruiksfase en aan het einde van de levenscyclus van een project beter te bepalen. Daarnaast zijn digitale platforms, zoals Building Information Modelling, van cruciaal belang bij het samenbrengen van mensen, processen en technologie om circulaire efficiëntie en prestaties te bereiken. Nieuwe modellen voor governance en regelgeving zijn noodzakelijk, zodat investeringen ten goede komen aan circulaire bedrijfsmodellen.

‘Een win-winsituatie vereist dat de gehele waardeketen samenwerkt. Producten moeten worden ontworpen met toekomstige toepassingen in gedachten en alle ketenpartners moeten gaan werken met andere verdien- en beloningsmodellen. Dit zorgt er onder meer voor dat klanten op de langere termijn profiteren van betere prestaties en een hogere restwaarde van hun bouwproject. Tot nu toe hebben we geen standaardoplossingen ontdekt, maar hebben geëxperimenteerd met verschillende alternatieven. Elke circulaire oplossing moet worden afgestemd op de situatie’, aldus Nitesh Magdani, Group Director Sustainability van Koninklijke BAM Groep.

Work on a £2.4 million sea defence repair project in Devon is now complete.

The sea wall in Torcross has been repaired by the Bam Nuttall and Mott MacDonald (BMM) joint venture (JV) after it was damaged by storms in February 2016.

The scheme was carried out on behalf of the Environment Agency (EA) and will help to reduce the risk of flooding to 51 properties.

Features included installing steel sheet piles directly in front of the existing line of piles with a new reinforced concrete capping beam. These double-length piles give the wall extra stability.

Following the project, the EA will inspect the defence every 24 months and monitor the repair during period of bad weather.

The Agency's Becky Richards said: "A huge thank you to all the residents of Torcross who have supported our repair work.

"The project team worked hard to complete this repair quickly as possible, and our contractor, BMM JV, has done well to complete the works in time for the Easter holidays."

Local MP Dr Sarah Wollaston said: "Thank you so much to all those who have worked hard to restore the sea defences at Torcross, and to the community and agencies which came together during the anxious weeks following last year's storms to get things done."

Morgen weer een lagere opening. Maar dat zegt weinig. Over de dag genomen is er toch nog een behoorlijke volatiliteit. Ben maar beetje aan het daghandelen geslagenmet deel bambezit. Levert aardig op wanneer je dat met plukjes van 5000 aandelen doet.

Contractors mobilise for 117€m M5 viaduct repairs

A three-way joint venture between Bam, Morgan Sindall and VolkerFitzpatrick has secured the 117€m-plus project to replace the waterproofing system on the the Oldbury viaduct in the Midlands.

The 1.5-mile elevated section of the M5 motorway between junction one and two is one of the busiest routes in the country

Work is due to start after Easter on the two-year project which will see the deck slab removed on a 1.8 mile stretch of the motorway.

Initially work will start by removing the surface on the southbound carriageway to investigate the condition of the concrete underneath.

Once this is complete the damaged concrete will be repaired and a new waterproofing layer applied. This will then be repeated on the northbound carriageway.

Highways England delivery manager, Colin Jackson, said: “We will be starting work on a major concrete repair and waterproofing scheme at the Oldbury viaduct, between junctions 1 and 2 of the M5 in the West Midlands, after Easter.

“At a cost in excess of 117€m Highways England is delivering a huge investment that will support economic growth locally and in the wider West Midlands.”
