Four construction companies have been selected for a £2bn framework covering North West public sector projects.

The Procure North West (PNW) framework, which covers Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire, Cumbria and Merseyside, runs until 2022.

It includes public sector bodies across the region, and is open to NHS bodies, emergency services, colleges, universities, schools, local authorities, housing associations, and registered charities.

Leisure providers, the Ministry of Defence, and other government departments will also be able to procure projects through the framework.

Split into four lots of different values, Casey Group, based in Rochdale, and Seddon Construction, based in Bolton, will be in the running for projects worth £1m – £5m, while Bardsley Construction, based in Dukinfield, and Graham, based in Salford Quays, cover projects worth £5 – £15m.

The other lots - £15–25m and more than £25m - will be covered by large UK construction groups, some of which have bases in the North West including BAM Construction North West

Robbie Blackhurst, managing director of Procure North West, said: “When we built the Procure North West Framework the key driver was to establish an OJEU-compliant framework that captured all of the pockets of best practice from other framework procurement routes and pull them under one umbrella.

“This has enabled us to develop a procurement tool for the public sector that is not only effective and efficient but also offers clients a degree of flexibility whilst providing demonstrable value for money.

“Having the contractor partners on board was the last missing piece of the jigsaw and we are delighted that the framework is now live and can start to support the public sector deliver their capital projects.”

BAM welcomed the announcement.
Adrian Blackie, pre-construction director, said: "We’re delighted to have been awarded a place on two lots of the Procure North West Framework, particularly given the large number of applicants that bid.

“Procure North West has clearly examined other frameworks and lessons learned from them. It could therefore complement the market place effectively in the region. This new framework certainly offers public sector clients in the North West another route to procure their capital delivery projects.

“We’re looking forward to working with Procure North West over the next four years and making the framework a success.”

Tilburgse opdracht voor BAM

(ABM FN-Dow Jones) BAM Bouw en Techniek start medio 2018 met de transformatie van stadskantoor 1 in opdracht van de gemeente Tilburg. Dit maakte BAM Groep woensdagmiddag bekend.

De verbouwing neemt dertien maanden in beslag en de opdracht heeft een waarde van 39 miljoen euro.

Heb het te doen met jullie, ben persoonlijk blij dat ik mijn pijlen op andere aandelen heb gericht. De kleur van het logo maakt het qua koers niet eens waar op een positieve beurs. Op deze manier wordt het een pennystock.
