Ik denk dat je de potentie onderschat van IVANHOE.
De toekomst zal t uitwijzen:-)

Er zijn zat koopjes tevinden in deze zeer zwaar afgestrafte sector.

Lef,geduld en ook beetje geluk(timing) horen erbij.

Ja, zag die Ivanhoe deal voorbij komen, niet slecht: 40% van de MC van Ivanhoe is nu straks pure cash.
Koers nog vrij laag, dus nu wordt het wel aardig aantrekkelijk.

Begrijp lage koers niet.

De 2 andere DEPOSITS worden zowat op nul gewaardeerd,terwijl daar ook al veel in geinvesteerd is zelfs.

The Platreef Project, in South Africa's Limpopo province, is 64%-owned by Ivanhoe and 10%-owned by a Japanese consortium of Itochu Corporation; ITC Platinum, an Itochu affiliate; Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation; and Japan Gas Corporation. The Japanese consortium's 10% interest in the Platreef Project was acquired in two tranches for a total investment of $290 million. The remaining 26% ownership interest is held by Ivanhoe's broad-based, black economic empowerment (B-BBEE) partners.

Het was met name Zijin dat behoorlijk steeg gisteren. Potentieel is best, er zijn er echter niet zoveel waar het eruit komt door een kapitaalinjectie. Ivanhoe doet dat goed.

Die SA mijn kan je vergeten met die BBEE partners aan boord lijkt me, dat is één grote corrupte uitvreetpartij.

Revising our estimates for the Kamoa co-development agreement with Zijin

Our view: We believe the Kamoa co-development agreement with Zijin is a significant positive for Ivanhoe. It provides near-term liquidity to Ivanhoe and provides a pathway to the successful financing and development of Kamoa. The transaction values Ivanhoe's current 95% interest in Kamoa at US$832 million, a 13% premium to Ivanhoe's current market capitalization. We believe that Kamoa, Platreef, and Kipushi each offer significant upside potential for Ivanhoe shareholders.

Key points:

• Revising our estimates: We have revised our estimates and updated our model for the Zijin co-development agreement. The impact is negligible to our near-term estimates, but lowers our NAV due to the transaction occurring at a significant discount to our valuation for Kamoa.

• Zijin Mining to acquire a 47% stake in Kamoa for US$412M: Zijin Mining Group, a Chinese miner of metals and bulk commodities, has agreed to acquire a 49.5% stake in Kamoa Holding Limited, an Ivanhoe subsidiary that currently owns 95% of the Kamoa project, for US$412 million. Closing of the agreement is expected on or around July 31, 2015. The purchase price will be paid by an initial payment of US$206 million upon closing, with the remaining US$206 million to be paid in five equal installments every 3.5 months following closing.

• Zijin to procure project financing for 65% of first phase of development: See page 3 for details.

• Option to acquire additional 1% interest in Kamoa Holding upon securing project financing (1% Option): See page 3 for details.

• Remaining first phase capital to be funded pro-rata by shareholders and Zijin to arrange project financing for subsequent phases: See p. 3.

• Zijin has right to negotiate offtake agreement for Kamoa Holding attributable production: See page 3.

• Shareholder, Governance, and Option Agreement (SGO) includes 10-year standstill provision: See page 3 for details.

• Ivanhoe to address DRC government concerns: According to press reports, the government of the DRC has expressed some concerns about the transaction with Zijin. Ivanhoe believes that it will be able to satisfy the governments concerns and that the transaction will proceed. Ivanhoe also intends to restart negotiations on the sale of an additional 15% interest in Kamoa to the DRC government. In our analysis, we assume that an additional 15% of Kamoa is sold to the DRC government.

• Agreement values 100% of Kamoa at US$876 million: The US$412 million agreement values Ivanhoe's current 95% interest in Kamoa at US$832 million, a 13% premium to the company's current market capitalization of approximately US$735 million. The US$876 million is a significant discount to our current estimate of US$3.2 billion, reflecting the stage of development, financing, ownership, and other risks.

• Ivanhoe remains in discussions on potential transactions on Kipushi.

Is zeker leuk die deal, maar kijk hoe het gaat in bokkiewokkieland: zeggen ze zelf al in het bericht:de regering ruikt geld en eist een stake: In onderstaand bericht doet Ivanhoe nog dapper door te stellen dat dd transactie voldoet aan de Congolese regels, maar de ambtenaartjes van het ministerie van mining maken zich kennelijk al op voor een payday haha.. De enige regel is daar: jezelf verrijken. De hele deal die Zijin voor ogen had ( nu de helft opkopen, investeren in ontwikkeling, meerderheid verwerven) valt in het water als ze geen budget voor 'bemiddelingskosten' vrij gaan maken haha... Dat wordt nog wat... die mijn gaat er niet zo snel komen...

En kijk:
-Ivanhoe mines was zich er niet van bewust dat DRC geconsulteerd ( lees: afgekocht) had moeten worden
-En tegelijkertijd duikt er een 'al eerder verstuurde brief' op waarin de DRC regering 15% wordt aangeboden!

De wondere wereld van het openbaar belang zullen we maar zeggen.
De hele deal met Zijin staat nu natuurlijk op losse schroeven: pas in juli zou het daadwerkelijk effectief worden.
