Er woeden in Siberië ook grote bosbranden
Echter door de oorlog in Oekraïne is er weinig materiaal en personeel beschikbaar deze branden te bestrijden

Zo is het nu in Siberië.

Er is niemand om grootschalige branden te blussen, want er zijn belangrijkere dingen te doen - een stomme veroveringsoorlog in Oekraïne.

Alle geld en middelen gaan naar het doden van burgers van een vreemd land.

En deze idioten geven niets om hun eigen shit. Laat het branden.

Natuurlijk weet ratio dat hij op het verkeerde topic zit, maar dat is nu immers typisch ratio . Snel hier of daar een vuurtje proberen te stoken, dat was in het verleden ook zo vaak. Gewoonlijk eindigde het met een schorsing door de moderator (de zoveelste zo ik zeggen ) en verdwijnt hij weer uit het beeld. De man wil gewoon aandacht, en dat lukt hem het best om steeds contrair proberen te zijn. Hij kan het blijkbaar niet laten.

De schepen zouden afkomstig zijn van Russische havens zoals Primorsk, Novorossiysk, Ust-Luga en Murmansk. Volgens Oekraïne komen zeven schepen vóór 6 mei aan en arriveert een achtste schip op 11 mei.

"Nederland moet alles op alles zetten zodat deze schepen niet kunnen lossen in Nederlandse havens", schrijft de Oekrainse ambassade. "De inkomsten die Rusland vervolgens genereert, kan het Kremlin inzetten om de oorlog in Oekraïne te bekostigen."

Elke drup olie die wordt verkocht, is er één teveel, besluit de ambassade. "Er moet nul komma nul tolerantie en coulantie zijn voor deze schepen, tot er vrede is in Oekraïne."

Kabinet is voorstander van weren schepen met Russische olie

Vooralsnog ligt er dus één schip met Russische olie voor anker in de Amsterdamse haven: de Sunny Liger. De havenarbeiders weigeren het schip te helpen vanwege de aanwezige Russische olie, met het oog op de oorlog in Oekraïne. Eerder werd het schip ook al geweigerd door Zweedse havenmedewerkers.

De gemeente Amsterdam heeft nog niet besloten of het schip definitief wordt geweigerd. Het stadsbestuur houdt de situatie wel nauwlettend in de gaten. Eerder liet de gemeente weten dat het "onwenselijk" was als het schip in de Amsterdamse haven zou gaan lossen.

De Sunny Liger is overigens geregistreerd op de Marshalleilanden en heeft nooit onder Russische vlag gevaren.

Minister Wopke Hoekstra (Buitenlandse Zaken) liet zaterdag weten de beslissing om het schip niet aan te laten meren "hartstikke goed" te vinden. Het kabinet wil zo snel mogelijk van de import van Russische energie afstappen. Bedrijven zijn opgeroepen de import van Russische olie, kolen en gas zo veel mogelijk te beperken.

What is known about the Phoenix Ghost is hauntingly limited. The Pentagon described it as a “one-way” drone that will “deliver a punch,” and said it would be similar to operate for anyone who has already trained on a Switchblade or other drone system.

As The War Zone reports, Kirby told the press that Phoenix Ghost differs in scope of capability from the Switchblade, though it’s similar in scope.

“I’m gonna be loath to get into much more detail about the system at this point for classification purposes, but you can safely assume that, in general, it works,” Kirby told reporters. “It provides the same sort of tactical capability that a Switchblade does. Switchblade is a one-way drone if you will, and it clearly is designed to deliver a punch. It’s a tactical UAS, and Phoenix ghost is of that same category.”

Even een casus vraag. Maar je bent een NL olie handelaar en hebt in 2021 een contract afgesloten met een RU producent voor leveringen in 2022. Wie blijft er nu in gebreke bij de levering? En mocht dit schip terugkeren naar RU, heeft dan de producent behalve de aanbetaling niet ook nog een schip olie gratis/met korting? Ik vind het allemaal nobel wat er gebeurt maar zonder inzicht in de achtergrond lijkt me. Net zoals Putin eigenlijk meer aan het verdienen is nu door de opgelopen prijzen, maar dat moet toch ook duidelijk zijn voor de EC?

Uefa bans Russian football clubs from Champions and Europa leagues

Uefa has banned Russian football clubs from participation in the 2022-23 seasons in the Champions League, Europa League and Uefa Nations League.

Russia’s bid to host the Euro 2028 and Euro 2032 tournaments is also no longer eligible.

Taras Topolia, the lead singer of the Ukrainian band Antytila, has spoken about their collaboration with Ed Sheeran to raise money for Ukraine.

Topolia is working as a medic in the war effort and spoke to the BBC about the remix of Sheeran’s track 2step.

PA Media reports:

It was not so easy to record the voice because our studio was under occupation while we were creating the lyrics for the song … but we found a way to record the voice.

Topolia, 34, described the song’s accompanying video as “heartbreaking”, but encouraged people to watch it.

“You should watch it, I’m asking you, please watch the video because the video conveys the message of the song.”

The remix has been released to raise money for Music Saves UA, a non-profit fundraising project providing humanitarian aid for people in Ukraine.

Over the next 12 months, Sheeran and Antytila’s worldwide record royalties from YouTube streams of the official video, and Warner Music’s proceeds from such streams, will be donated to Music Saves UA.

Topolia explained the meaning behind the remix, saying: “It is a simple but very dramatic story. It is not just only my story, it is the story of millions of Ukrainian people, whose peaceful life was interrupted by war.”

Ed Sheeran’s official video for the original recording of 2step featuring rapper Lil Baby, which was unveiled last month, was shot in Kyiv last year.

In a statement, Sheeran said: “I stand with Ukraine and will be donating my record royalties from YouTube streams of the video to the DEC’s Ukraine humanitarian appeal.”

GENEVA (AP) — Russian soccer teams were kicked out of the Women’s European Championship, the next men’s Champions League and qualifying for the 2023 Women’s World Cup by UEFA on Monday.

The latest round of sporting sanctions during Russia’s war on Ukraine follow FIFA and UEFA suspending Russian national and club teams in February from playing in international competitions, including the men’s World Cup playoffs.

Those previous decisions — made as countries across Europe refused to play games against Russia — are under appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport by the Russian Football Union and the latest expulsions are also likely to be challenged.

UEFA said Portugal will take Russia’s place in the Women’s Euro 2022 being hosted by England in July. Russia qualified by beating Portugal in the playoffs round.

Russian Premier League winner Zenit St. Petersburg’s place in the next Champions League group stage will go instead to the champion of Scotland, according to UEFA’s updated list of allocated entries. Russia also will not have entries in next season’s Europa League and Europa Conference League.

UEFA said its executive committee took the latest decisions to “ensure their smooth staging in a safe and secure environment for all those concerned.”

"Iedereen wil Rusland op de knieën, enkel de Hongaarse regering niet. Er is een enorme druk. Orbán gaat altijd ver, maar nooit té ver. Er zal wel gepraat worden over de voorwaarden van de sanctie en eventuele overgangsmaatregelen, maar het lijkt er toch op dat het verbod er zal komen."

Volgens de nieuwssite Politico ligt er alvast een plan op tafel waarbij Hongarije en Slowakije "een of andere vorm van uitzondering of overgangsmaatregelen" krijgen op de maatregel. Net omdat die twee landen erg afhankelijk zijn van de Russische olie en moeilijk snel alternatieven kunnen vinden.

“Wees humaner”
Tinkov is een van Ruslands bekendste ondernemers en richtte in 2006 Tinkoff Bank op. De afgelopen jaren is hij buiten Rusland gevestigd. Hij roept de wereldleiders op om zo snel mogelijk een uitweg te vinden. “Wees alsjeblieft rationeler en humaner. Onschuldige mensen en soldaten sterven.”

Tinkoff Bank meldt volgens ‘The Guardian’ in een verklaring dat het geen reactie geeft op de privémening van Tinkov en dat hij niet langer iets te zeggen heeft over het bedrijf. “Hij is geen medewerker van Tinkoff.”

“Economische blitzkrieg”
Rusland is doelwit van zware economische sancties van de westerse landen naar aanleiding van de aanval op Oekraïne die 24 februari is begonnen. Rusland is een belangrijke leverancier van aardgas en olie en van andere belangrijke grondstoffen. Volgens Poetin verslechtert de westerse economie snel en dat is volgens hem mede het gevolg van de sancties die westerse landen hebben afgekondigd.

Het is een eigen doelpunt van het Westen, aldus Poetin, die het ook een “economische blitzkrieg” noemde. Volgens waarnemers die ‘The Financial Times’ citeert, staat Rusland nu voor een van de ergste economische crises sinds begin jaren 90, toen de Sovjet-Unie net uiteen gevallen was en er economische chaos heerste. Rusland zou dit jaar zijn bruto binnenlands product met zeker 11 procent zien krimpen.
